The 20th Asian Games will open on September 19, 2026. During this period, when the city of Nagoya will be bustling with visitors from all over the world, a unique show will begin at a live cafe just a minute's walk from Kanayama Station.
An 80-minute entertainment that combines a live performance of Japanese anime songs and an authentic ninja performance. Not only can you watch, but you can also throw shuriken and take photos with ninjas. It's a content that allows you to fully experience the feeling of "coming to Japan."
To make it enjoyable even if you don't understand the language, the show has no dialogue. It's structured to be understood by anyone, shown through visuals, music, and body language.

Starting with anime songs, heating up with ninjas. An 80-minute live show

The show's emblem. A design with the character "忍" (nin) surrounded by a circle

The show consists of two parts.
The first half is a live stage featuring Japanese anime theme songs. The singers at the venue perform songs that symbolize Japanese pop culture. Many of the songs are widely known overseas, so you might find yourself humming along.
The second half is the ninja show. Three ninjas perform about 20 minutes of action, mixing sword fighting, ninjutsu, and comedy. The production is handled by a production company based in Nagoya that specializes in ninja shows. This is a new work created from scratch for this event.

Infiltrate the castle, steal the scroll. Ninjas pursuing 5 missions

The story is simple. Two ninjas infiltrate a castle and steal a scroll hidden in a treasure chest. To do so, they overcome five missions one after another. Infiltrate from the castle roof. Pass through the corridor without making a sound. Steal the key from an enemy ninja. Open a gate with a trick. And finally, get the scroll from the treasure chest.
The protagonists are Ninja A, who is skilled, and Ninja B, who is a bit clumsy. While A performs techniques gracefully, B fails at everything. B tries to sneak through the corridor, but for some reason appears wearing geta (wooden clogs), and strange noises continue to sound during a scene that is supposed to be quiet. The development when the true nature of these sounds is revealed will make you gasp.

The climax is a one-on-one battle with an enemy ninja. "Katon no Jutsu" (Fire Release Technique) that breathes fire, "Kawarimi no Jutsu" (Substitution Jutsu) where a cut ninja is replaced by a log, and "Kuchiyose no Jutsu" (Summoning Jutsu) that summons a giant toad. Ninjutsu linked with visuals are performed one after another. Of course, Ninja B's ninjutsu always results in something slightly off.
Midway through, one audience member even goes up on stage. They are asked by the ninjas for cooperation to open a gate and confront an enemy ninja. What happens next, please come and see at the venue.

After the stage, you become a ninja. Shuriken and board breaking experience

After the ninja show, it's the audience's turn. You can experience throwing rubber shuriken at a target and try "board breaking."
The ninjas will teach you how to throw right in front of you, so it's okay even if it's your first time. If you hit the target well, the audience will applaud. After the experience, you can also take a commemorative photo with the ninjas. Please take a photo in ninja attire as a memory of your trip.
Please note that the shuriken experience and commemorative photo are subject to an additional charge (payment can be made with "Hansatsu").

All-you-can-drink included. Additional food, drinks, and goods with "Hansatsu"

The ticket includes 80 minutes of all-you-can-drink. Beer, highball, lemon sour, plum wine, wine, cocktails. There are also soft drinks and non-alcoholic cocktails, so those who don't drink alcohol can also enjoy.
If you want to enjoy additional light meals or goods, please exchange for "Hansatsu" at the reception. Hansatsu is a currency exclusive to this venue, named after the paper money issued by various domains during the Edo period. One Hansatsu costs 100 yen and can be used to pay for food, drinks, goods, and experiences.
Examples of what you can buy with Hansatsu include Japanese light meals such as takoyaki and karaage, ninja-themed mugs and wristbands, and scroll-style tenugui (hand towels). You can also use it as an "ohineri" (tip) for your favorite performer. Please experience the culture of Japanese playhouses as it is.
