"Ota x Ishii DELA LOVER" is a variety show where Bakusho Mondai's Hikari Ota and TV Host Ryoji Ishii delve into the classics of the Tokai region! This time, it's the Aichi city ranking for places to live. We surveyed 274 real estate agents in 54 municipalities in Aichi. We will announce the top 10 cities excluding Nagoya City, which was ranked 1st last time. We will also introduce recommended summer outing spots and summer gourmet food! Evolved cafes where you can interact with animals

Here are the 10th to 6th places in the "Aichi City Ranking for Places to Live"!
10th place: Obu City
9th place: Anjo City
8th place: Toyohashi City
7th place: Kariya City
6th place: Nisshin City

The 5th place in the "Aichi City Ranking for Places to Live" is "Ichinomiya City". In the survey, comments included "Good access to Nagoya and Gifu" and "The birthplace of morning service. For a few hundred yen more than the price of coffee, you get a luxurious morning service."

It is located on the border of Aichi and Gifu prefectures, and is the birthplace of morning service, with over 500 establishments offering it.

Mr. Aratani of "Style Estate Chuo Branch" recommends "Animal Cafe Fushigi". It is about a 10-minute drive from Owari-Ichinomiya Station. It is an evolved cafe where you can interact with about 30 rare animals such as capybaras and sloths. "Cape Penguin Walk" is a fixed course of about 5 minutes where you can walk outside (canceled on particularly hot days).

Recommended Ichinomiya City summer gourmet is "Kishimen Fujino". It is about a 10-minute drive from Owari-Ichinomiya Station. It is a popular restaurant that is almost full during lunchtime.

There are 6 types of kishimen dishes with homemade chewy noodles. "Refreshing Lemon Kishimen" is a summer-only dish with 5 lemon slices on cold soup, giving it a refreshing appearance. For an additional 100 yen, you can change to wide kishimen, which is about 4 cm wide. Compared to regular kishimen, it is about 4 times wider! According to store manager Funato, the wide noodles were developed to make them easier to entangle with the cold soup.

A cost-effective park where you can play all day long

The 4th place in the "Aichi City Ranking for Places to Live" is "Toyota City". In the survey, comments included "If you want to experience nature, go to the mountainous areas. There are cinemas and places for families to shop in the city" and "A city where everything necessary for daily life is well-maintained. It's easy to live in for all generations."

It is the largest municipality in Aichi Prefecture, bordering Gifu and Nagano prefectures. Toyota Motor Corporation is famous.

Mr. Hoshiyama of "House Do" recommends "Kuragaike Park". It is a park located east of Toyota City Station, boasting over 1.4 million visitors annually. The park, which is about 19 times the size of Vantelin Dome, has a free covered lawn area where you can play even when it rains, and a free playhouse with 12 types of playground equipment.

There is also a free zoo in the park. 36 types of animals are on display, including white peacocks that have turned white due to genetic mutations and common marmosets.

Recommended Toyota City summer gourmet is "Tororoan". It is a specialty restaurant for jinenjo (Japanese yam) located on the way to Korankei. On weekends, there are sometimes queues before opening.

There are over 20 creative dishes using jinenjo. The "Rich Tororo Soba" is popular and perfect for summer. It is eaten with mentsuyu (noodle soup) mixed with jinenjo. Customers who order a set meal can enjoy unlimited mugimeshi (barley rice)!

Plenty of cactus gourmet food

The 3rd place in the "Aichi City Ranking for Places to Live" is "Kasugai City". In the survey, comments included "Among cities with a population of over 300,000, it's a very easy city to shop in" and "There are many newlyweds and families, but also many single students."

According to Mr. Tsuneda of "Minimini Kasugai Store", a former sumo wrestler, Kasugai is a "cactus town". Originally, Kasugai City had many fruit farmers, but after Typhoon Isewan, the cultivation of typhoons-resistant cacti increased. With "misho cultivation" (growing from seeds), it became the largest producer in Japan, and edible cacti also became famous. There are also many cactus gourmet foods such as cactus ramen and cactus curry.

Recommended Kasugai City summer gourmet is at "Green Palace Kasugai". It is next to Ochiai Park, right after exiting the Kasugai IC. The all-you-can-eat lunch and morning at the restaurant "Green Table 9640" on the second floor are great value.

For lunch, you can choose between a hamburger or grilled tuna cheek with butter as the main dish, and rice and soup are all-you-can-eat. The hamburger uses 100% beef. You can choose from two sauces: demi-glace and chasseur. The price is a great value at 1000 yen, and for an additional 400 yen, you can enjoy a salad bar, side dishes such as fried chicken, curry, dessert, and drinks for 90 minutes, all-you-can-eat and drink.

The morning service, limited to weekends and holidays, includes a daily salad bar, bread, side dishes, dessert, and drinks, all-you-can-eat and drink for 600 yen.

The city of Tokugawa Ieyasu and Tokai On Air

The 2nd place in the "Aichi City Ranking for Places to Live" is "Okazaki City". In the survey, comments included "Public transportation is convenient, and there are many parks and commercial facilities" and "There is greenery around the castle. There are mountains and rivers."

The birthplace of Tokugawa Ieyasu. There are Ieyasu statues everywhere in "Okazaki Castle Park", which was selected as one of Japan's Top 100 Cherry Blossom Viewing Spots. It is said that fireworks became popular because Ieyasu ordered the peaceful use of gunpowder, and now it is one of Japan's leading fireworks production areas.

The new stars of Okazaki City are "Tokai On Air". They are a 6-member YouTuber group based in Okazaki City, with over 7.25 million subscribers. Many fans visit the city for a pilgrimage to see Tokai On Air's signatures and monuments of their official characters.

Recommended Okazaki City summer gourmet is "Kakigori Kaido" (Shaved Ice Road). This is an event held in the eastern part of Okazaki City where 11 stores offer limited shaved ice. The shaved ice is characterized by its mellow and melt-in-your-mouth texture, made with ultra-soft spring water from the Tottokawa area, where fireflies live.

Currently, each store offers shaved ice inspired by various Asian countries, with the Asian Games in September as the motif.

The world's only facility that recreates the world of Ghibli movies

The 1st place in the "Aichi City Ranking for Places to Live" is "Nagakute City". In the survey, comments included "There is a great demand for detached houses among young newlyweds," "There are large Aeon and IKEA stores, and many universities nearby," and "It's the first city in Japan to have the Linimo."

It is located to the east of Nagoya City. Popular shopping spots such as Aeon Mall Nagakute and IKEA Nagakute are located along the main roads. "Ghibli Park" is a particularly popular outing spot. It is the world's only facility that expresses the world of Ghibli movies.

Nagakute City has many young immigrants, and the average age of its residents is 40.2 years old, making it the youngest city in Japan (2020 national census). It is very popular with young families due to its many large commercial facilities and parks.
