"Ayaka Nakamura's 10,000-step treasure hunt" is a segment where CBC reporter Ayaka Nakamura actually walks around and investigates the hidden charms of notable areas in the Tokai region.

This time, we ventured out to find treasures in the "Tsuruma area" of Nagoya City! We will introduce three "impressive spots" that will make you want to visit, from famous flower viewing spots to retro museums and long-established gourmet restaurants loved by locals.

Impressive Spot ① Now is the best time to see it! One of the best flower viewing spots in Nagoya City

For Nakamura, who is in her third year at CBC TV, this was her first time in the Tsuruma area. Immediately after exiting Tsurumai Station, she first headed to "Tsuruma Park."

"It's beautiful, amazing. I've never seen so many roses gathered in one place before."

The first impressive spot, found just 276 steps from the start, was Tsuruma Park, where roses were in full bloom.

Known as one of the best flower viewing spots in Nagoya City, at this time of year, about 140 varieties and 1,400 roses of various colors bloom. At the time of the filming, the "Rose Festival and Iris Festival 2026" was being held until June 7.

Many people were seen enjoying a stroll and taking photos in the park. There is also "Sobakiri Santo," which opened three years ago, where you can enjoy authentic soba after enjoying the flowers.

Impressive Spot ② Full of Showa Retro! "Aichi Sento Museum" preserving "sento culture"

"Since I walk 10,000 steps once a week, I wanted to continue exercising for the remaining six days. So I started going to the gym."

While talking about her recent activities, she suddenly discovered an interesting building. The second impressive spot she encountered after 5390 steps was the "Aichi Sento Museum."

Passing through the noren curtain with "Yu" written on it, she cautiously went up to the second floor, where a nostalgic Showa retro space spread out before her.

The "Aichi Sento Museum" is a rare sento-specialized museum nationwide, opened in 2017 on the second floor of the Aichi Public Bathhouse Association office, with the desire to preserve the dwindling sento culture. Sento goods that were actually used are on display.

Also on display are "Okama Dryers," which are nostalgic for the Showa generation and allow you to dry your hair while sitting, and "massage machines" with exposed massage balls. Surprisingly, if you insert a coin, they still work today.

Impressive Spot ③ Worth the 1-hour wait...! A famous miso katsu restaurant loved by locals

Nakamura asked a customer visiting the museum for recommendations of nearby spots.

Hearing that there was a miso katsu restaurant with a long line near the "Aichi Sento Museum," she immediately headed there.
Indeed, there was a line of customers in front of the store. There were also people lining up on the other side, indicating its popularity. Nakamura-ana also joined the end of the line and asked the customers waiting...

"(Q Is this your first time?) I saw it online. It said it was a restaurant loved by locals."

She ordered the "Miso Hirekatsu Teishoku" recommended by the staff and waited for about an hour. Finally, she entered the store.

The third impressive spot, encountered after 5807 steps, was "Tonkatsu Tonpachi," a long-established miso katsu restaurant founded in 1983.
It is a famous restaurant loved by locals for many years, and the "Miso Hirekatsu Teishoku" features a sweet miso sauce blended with Hatcho miso and red miso.

She finished it all in about 10 minutes!
Although her step count didn't increase much due to waiting in line, she then returned to Tsuruma Park. She enjoyed a leisurely walk and finished with 10387 steps.
