This time, we ventured to Himakajima, "the island closest to Nagoya" in Minamichita Town, Aichi Prefecture, to search for treasures! We will introduce three impressive people, gourmet foods, and outing spots.

Impressive Spot ① The island is full of octopuses! Enjoy Himakajima's famous dried octopus

As Nakamura explored the island, she found Himakajima's famous "octopus" everywhere, including mosaic art on the ground, buildings, and manholes. Searching for "hidden octopuses" while walking is one of the pleasures.

The first impressive spot she found was Himakajima's specialty, exquisite octopus gourmet, which she reached after 4891 steps! She visited "Kaneto Shoten," which handles dried seafood and processed products caught in Himakajima.

During her walk, she also stopped by "Shima Bar daitome" and enjoyed "octopus and whitebait ajillo." She fully enjoyed Himakajima's famous octopus.

Impressive Spot ② A superb SNS-worthy spot! Lover's Swing and Anywhere Door

As she walked around the island, she encountered a couple visiting for sightseeing. When she asked for recommended spots...

"(Q Any recommended shops or spots?) There's an Anywhere Door. And a swing. It's on top of the mountain."

Hearing interesting information, she immediately headed there. After being told directions by someone she met along the way and climbing the stairs, a magnificent view spread out before her.

The second impressive spot was the "Lover's Swing" and door, where she enjoyed a superb view, reached after 8202 steps.
Nakamura also tried the swing that swings towards the sea.

"Wowwwwwww! It feels so good~. The scenery is so amazing that I don't even mind the wind."

After enjoying the swing, she went down the stairs and immediately found the officially named "Himaka Door," commonly known as "Shima Demo Door."

This was handmade by the islanders in 2022 to make it a new famous spot. It has become a popular photo spot where anyone can freely take pictures.

Nakamura also enjoyed taking pictures while opening the door.

Impressive Spot ③ Just opened! Additive-free smooth pudding

As she continued her walk, she encountered energetic children. When she asked for recommended spots...

"(Q Any recommended shops?) Himaka Pudding. (Q Have you been there?) Yes~, it's delicious."

Based on the information, she climbed a hill and after 10007 steps, she arrived at a smooth pudding that seems to be a new specialty. "Himaka Pudding" is a new spot that just opened in April 2026.

"(Q What was the reason for opening?) I came to the island from Handa to get married, and since I like Western sweets, I started 'Himaka Pudding' hoping it would become a local pudding."
